This project aims to create a multilingual conversational AI system that can understand and process various languages. By utilizing innovative methodologies, it seeks to enhance natural language understanding for underrepresented languages, making advanced dialogue systems accessible to a broader audience.

Task-based statistical dialogue systems (SDS) are now viable, embedded in popular commercial applications (e.g. the Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Echo, Google’s Assistant) and cost-effective in many scenarios (e.g., customer support, call centre service, searching, booking).
