The project focuses on creating new materials for energy storage by synthesizing and characterizing ABC antiferroelectrics. The goal is to enhance performance in electrical breakdown strength and energy density, contributing to advancements in energy storage technologies.
The proposed training-through-research programme aims to develop novel materials for energy storage applications that would overcome the performance limitations related to the existing materials systems.
This will be tackled by fabricating and characterizing recently discovered ABC antiferroelectrics which have never been previously synthesized.
