This project develops a method for automated patch clamp recordings using microfluidic technology to achieve very brief exposure times for ligand gated ion channels. This innovation aims to enhance research on ion channel function and improve drug development processes for conditions related to these channels.
The gold standard for obtaining data on ion channel function is the patch clamp method.
