The NanoImager project aims to develop a compact optical microscope that utilizes single-molecule fluorescence imaging. This innovative microscope seeks to provide a smaller, more affordable alternative to existing models, making it suitable for research, education, and biomedical diagnostics.
This proposal focuses on activities that support the advancement of a novel compact optical microscope to the proof-of-concept stage.
The microscope (“NanoImager”) is based on single-molecule fluorescence imaging; its development resulted from efforts to improve microscopes within the ERC project POLMACHINE.
