The NANOPIGMY project aims to develop cost-effective ceramic pigments that enhance the properties of automotive and construction materials. By modifying low-cost pigments, it seeks to facilitate the integration of nanotechnology without altering existing manufacturing processes.
The change in automobile and construction materials requirements has led industries to themodification of bulk materials with nanoparticulate additives or to the application of later highperformance coatings in their materials to obtain better, cleaner, cheaper, faster and smarterproducts [1].
