The NanoPuzzles project aims to develop new computational methods for assessing the risks associated with engineered nanoparticles. By modeling their structure, properties, and toxicity, the project seeks to reduce reliance on animal testing while enhancing safety evaluations.
Nanotechnology is rapidly expanding.
However, some types of engineered nanoparticles can be toxic for living organisms and exhibit negative impact on the environment.
Thus, the design of new nanomaterials must be supported by a rigorous risk analysis.
