NanoQI aims to develop a real-time technique for characterizing the nano-structure and dimensions of thin-film materials. By optimizing X-ray techniques and combining them with advanced imaging, the project seeks to enhance industrial processes in manufacturing applications like solar cells and coatings.
Functional performances of nano-materials and thin films with nano-scale thickness are determined not only by material selection but also by their nano-physical dimensions, nano-scale structure and their nano-scale chemical composition.
