This project aims to develop new polymeric nano-biomaterials to enhance drug delivery for treating HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. It focuses on creating self-assembling systems that improve drug bioavailability and reduce administration frequency through innovative design and characterization.
The present plan aims to build up and consolidate a research program in Pharmaceutical Nanomaterials Science based on the design, synthesis and chemical characterization of novel self-assembly polymeric nano-biomaterials and the investigation of the relationship between the nano/microstructure and the properties and new processing methods for the improvement of the biopharmaceutic performance of drugs.
