This project examines how narratives of historical injustice and compensation evolve across generations, focusing on Dutch case studies involving payments to Jewish victims and post-colonial claims. It aims to understand the cultural implications of these narratives in shaping collective memory.
Acknowledging historical injustice has become a major issue in a changing Europe since the End of the Cold War, but also worldwide, visible when the UN proclaimed 2009 the International Year of Reconciliation.
