This project investigates how economic narratives influence policy perceptions and behaviors. By combining behavioral experiments, historical analysis, and text measurement methods, it aims to understand the manipulation of narratives and their effects on public opinion and policy-making.
Narratives the stories people formulate to make sense of the world contain at their core cause and effect relationships that people use to connect the events they observe.
These relationships are crucial for interpreting data, forming expectations, and evaluating policy proposals.
