This project aims to develop thermal and phononic devices using 2D materials to improve thermal management at the nanoscale. By engineering defects in these materials, the research seeks to explore new thermal transport phenomena and design innovative devices for future applications.
As modern devices shrink, thermal management become increasingly critical.
The need for better understanding and control of thermal transport at the nanoscale thus arise and has been in the spotlight for several years for semiconductors such as silicon in particular.
