This project seeks to automate a novel nebulizer process that enhances chemical synthesis by improving light penetration and oxygen solubility. The goal is to develop a robust prototype reactor suitable for large-scale industrial applications, supported by a major pharmaceutical company.
The original ERC grant focused on proving the power that oxygen from the air had in synthesis when its light-excited state was exploited.
During the ERC program, we were able to show how simple & readily accessible start materials could be transformed into high value-high interest chemicals through straightforward “one pot” operations.
