This project explores the rich cultural landscape of Southern India during the 15th to 17th centuries, focusing on the interconnectedness of literature, music, and visual arts. It aims to analyze how these forms reflect the philosophical and aesthetic developments of the time.
Southern India in the fifteenth, sixteenth, and seventeenth centuries comprised a single, strongly interwoven, multilingual cultural world that generated innovative literary, musical, theatrical and visual masterpieces as well as a theoretical erudite literature that explored the aesthetic and philosophical bases of these new works.
