The NEUROCONTRA project investigates the effects of hormonal contraceptives on female brain function using advanced neuroimaging and machine learning techniques. By analyzing brain dynamics in women, it aims to fill a significant knowledge gap regarding the interaction between contraceptives and brain health.
The contraceptive pill has been widely used for over six decades and is one of the most frequently used hormonal contraceptive methods, with approximately 151 million users worldwide.
