NeuroGraft focuses on developing bioartificial spinal cord conduits seeded with cells and immunomodulatory cytokines to enhance nerve regeneration. The project aims to create a viable therapeutic option for spinal cord injuries through innovative organ transplantation techniques.
Injuries and degenerative diseases of the central nervous system constitute a bottleneck in medical and surgical practice for which no therapy currently exists.
To ensure clinical translation, NeuroGraft is organised in three R&D Work-Packages.
