The NeuroGut project aims to advance the field of neurogastroenterology by providing training for young researchers. It addresses the neural control of intestinal functions and aims to improve understanding and treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders.
Neurogastroenterology is a new and emerging medical/scientific subspecialty that currently has no formal training opportunities in medicine and related disciplines.
