This project examines the application of neuroscience to social policy, particularly for young adults in the criminal justice system. It aims to facilitate discussions on the implications of neurodevelopmental research for understanding offending behavior and informing policy.
This proposal is concerned with the complex and contested application of emerging understandings within neuroscience to issues of law and social policy, with a focus on young adults in the criminal justice system, including those with neurodevelopmental difficulties.
The last 30 years have seen remarkable advances in the range of neurosciences.
