This project explores the mechanisms of neuronal death in motor neuron diseases by investigating the role of the survival of motor neuron protein. It aims to understand how deficiencies in this protein lead to selective neuronal vulnerability, using advanced genetic tools and models.
The mechanisms behind neuronal death in different motor neuron diseases (MND) remain unknown.
