NeXED focuses on training toxicologists to assess endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) using a One Health approach. The project aims to develop new testing methods and promote interdisciplinary collaboration to address the complexities of EDC exposure in humans and the environment.
The EU has flagged endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), which interfere with normal hormonal function leading to adverse health effects, of particular concern.
Within different EU regulatory programmes the assessment of EDCs has recently changed significantly and continues to evolve rapidly.
