This project focuses on creating ideal anapoles—nonradiating light states—using advanced theoretical modeling and second-harmonic generation. By fabricating resonant photonic samples, it aims to explore nanoscale light confinement for applications in lasers, sensors, and quantum computing.
Anapoles are nonradiating states of light, in which optical fields are trapped by destructive interference of outgoing radiation.
