Next-2Digits aims to integrate two-dimensional materials into photonic integrated circuits using innovative transfer technologies. This project focuses on enhancing the performance of devices like photodetectors and modulators, paving the way for advanced applications in sensing and imaging.
Graphene and 2D materials (2DM) have proven superior optoelectronic properties and performance in a plethora of applications with respect to conventional materials.
Despite that, specific integration and processing challenges are impeding the industrial uptake of 2DM.
