NEXTCELL aims to develop a new generation of lithium-ion battery cells that enhance energy capacity and voltage for electric vehicles. The project focuses on creating a gellified cell concept that improves safety, reduces costs, and enhances sustainability in battery production.
The Li-ion battery (LIB) market is now entering a period where energy density improvements and cost reductions are levelling off for the current generation 3a.
