The NextGW project aims to advance gravitational wave astronomy by creating next-generation models for extreme-mass-ratio inspirals. These models will help interpret signals from supermassive black holes, enhancing our understanding of gravity and the universe.
The NextGW project aims to revolutionise gravitational wave (GW) astronomy by developing next-generation waveform models for extreme-mass-ratio inspirals (EMRIs), which will be critical for the success of the future space-based GW observatory LISA. EMRIs provide unique insights into the strong-field regime of gravity around supermassive black holes, enabling precise tests of general relativity and a deeper understanding of the fundamental nature of black holes.
