This project investigates the role of hydrogen sulfide in inflammation by examining its interactions with neutrophil white blood cells. It aims to clarify how hydrogen sulfide influences inflammatory responses and its potential as a therapeutic agent in treating inflammatory diseases.
Inflammation is a fundamental pathological event, which is described as a protective response to abnormal stimulus.
However it is also responsible for a plethora of inflammatory diseases. A major role of hydrogen sulfide is suggested in inflammation, but published results are controversial.
