This project aims to improve patient care by developing monitoring systems that connect patients with healthcare professionals. It focuses on using wearable technology and adaptive algorithms to provide early warnings of health deterioration, enhancing safety and independence for at-risk patients.
Safest, reliable, individualised care of patients at-risk of deterioration needs patients themselves to play an active role in their care whenever possible: late detection or escalation of deterioration causes avoidable harms, and deaths.
