This project focuses on creating advanced biological sensors using fluorescent spherical silicate nanoparticles. These sensors measure analyte concentrations by utilizing two dyes, one responsive to the analyte and the other serving as a stable reference, enhancing detection capabilities in biological samples.
The aim of this project is to develop quantitative biological sensors based on fluorescent spherical silicate nanoparticles (amorphous silica, zeolite beta) in controlled sizes in the range of 50 to 200 nanometers in diameter.
The quantification of the analyte is based on a ratiometric detection of fluorescence from two dyes.
