The NOSTROMO project aims to enhance air traffic management by developing new performance modeling techniques. It focuses on creating transparent and efficient metamodels that can simulate complex air traffic scenarios, facilitating better decision-making and performance assessment across various air traffic phases.
The ATM system is composed of a myriad of elements that interact with each other generating a number of properties characteristic of complex adaptive systems, which make the ATM system intrinsically difficult to model.
