The NOTA project investigates medieval note-taking practices in universities to uncover insights into the production and dissemination of knowledge in Europe. By analyzing Latin manuscripts from the 14th and 15th centuries, it aims to establish note-taking as a significant subject in intellectual history.

In academia, it is a universal endeavor that we share with students since the origin of the universities.
