OCTCHIP develops a novel photonic integrated circuit platform using silicon nitride for optical coherence tomography applications. This technology aims to create compact and cost-effective imaging systems for early diagnosis in medical fields, particularly ophthalmology.
Silicon photonics is expected to leverage-off many of the advances made in CMOS electronics.
