This project aims to analyze social inequalities related to obesity in urban areas of the Iberia-Latin American region. It seeks to develop policies that address these inequalities and improve public health outcomes.
More than half of the worldwide population (55%) is overweight or obese (O/O), while the increasing trends are leading to shorten life expectancy.
Tackling O/O is a European priority, and innovative actions to achieve this are urgently needed: no country has so far succeeded in reducing its growth.
