The OILBLOCK project aims to mitigate the ecological and economic impacts of oil spills by deploying a rapid response containment system. This innovative technology can be pre-installed on vessels and oil rigs, allowing for immediate action to prevent the spread of oil during spills.
In Europe alone, about 20,000 oil spills were detected over a period of 6 years.
