This project explores the role of O-GlcNAcylation, a protein modification, in regulating RNA-binding proteins associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It aims to understand how this modification affects RNA processing, potentially providing insights into neurodegenerative diseases.
O-GlcNAcylation is a post-translational dynamic modification of proteins that is becoming more widely recognized as a modification that can protect proteins from pathological aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases.
