The BRAINSTORM project focuses on creating a system for on-chip intracellular recordings from cultured neuronal networks. It integrates micronail-type probes with readout electronics for efficient chemical sensing and delivery, enabling advanced studies of neuronal activity and intracellular processes.
In the BRAINSTORM project, we aim to develop an integrated system enabling on-chip intracellular recordings from a relatively large cultured neuronal network combined with chemical sensing and intracellular delivery of biologically active molecules.
To achieve tight coupling with the cell membrane and enable efficient recordings, micronail-type probes will be integrated with a CMOS readout circuitry.
