This project investigates the role of micro-RNAs in gene regulation and their link to cancer. It aims to analyze the biomolecular interactions involved in micro-RNA processing and explore the potential of using anti-sense oligonucleotides to inhibit oncogenic micro-RNAs as a novel cancer therapy.
Micro-RNAs are a recently identified class of small non-coding RNAs that have been shown to regulate the expression of up to 30% of human genes.
