This project investigates the role of the bone marrow niche in the development of acute myeloid leukemia. By analyzing the interactions between hematopoietic cells and their environment, it aims to identify new therapeutic strategies to prevent and treat leukemia.
Although oncogenic driver mutations are found in healthy tissues sometimes at a prenatal stage, they do not often result in overt cancer.
