The project explores theories of personal identity, aiming to reconcile conflicting views on what constitutes a person. It seeks to provide a coherent framework for understanding human identity and its implications in philosophical discussions.
Animalism and the so-called simple view, among many others, constitute competing theories of personal identity.
According to the first, persons are biologically individuated animals whose persistence through time consists of some kind of biological continuity.
