This project investigates optimization algorithms based on statistical physics methods for solving complex problems in computational systems biology. It aims to apply these methods to enhance the analysis of large-scale biological data and improve understanding of molecular interactions.
The project is focused on two objectives: the study of optimization and inference algorithms based on advanced statistical physics methods for disordered systems, and their application to large-scale inverse problems in computational systems biology.In last years, fundamentally new approaches to large-scale optimization and inference problems have emerged at the interface between Statistical Mechanics and Computer Science.
