The ORIGENDER project investigates the persistent gender pay gap in Scandinavia, focusing on the influence of traditional gender roles in the labor market. By analyzing data from leading research institutions, the project aims to provide insights that can inform public policy and promote gender equality.
Women continue to earn significantly less than men.
This is true even in Scandinavia, a region long considered a forerunner in offering better opportunities for women to balance career and family.
However, in recent decades progress towards gender equality has been slow.
