This project explores the experiences of Chinese adoptees and their adoptive families as they engage in heritage tours to connect with their roots. By examining the dynamics between various stakeholders, the research aims to shed light on the complexities of transnational family-making and belonging.
China became the largest source of adopted children worldwide since its Transnational Adoption Program in 1992.As adoptees are coming of age, some are interested in exploring their roots.
