This project reconstructs the history of olive and vine cultivation in Europe, examining their spread and impact on agriculture and society. It utilizes archaeological and genetic evidence to understand the domestication processes and the development of wine and olive oil production.
The cultivation, domestication and intensive exploitation of the vine and the olive transformed the agricultural, economic and social history of Europe.
