Ocean Visuals' project develops the Oil-in-Water Locator (OWL), a technology using advanced sensors to detect and quantify oil spills and chemical pollution in coastal waters. This innovation aims to enhance the monitoring and protection of undersea environments.
Ocean Visuals' project centers on the development and deployment of the Oil-in-Water Locator (OWL), a cutting-edge solution designed to address the complex challenges of monitoring and safeguarding coastal undersea environments.
By utilizing advanced Hyperspectral Laser Induced Fluorescence (HLIF) LiDAR sensors, OWL can detect, classify, and quantify oil spills and chemical pollution -quantifying hydrocarbon presence- both on water surfaces and submerged within the depths.
