PALEOCORE aims to enhance our understanding of Earth's core dynamics over long timescales by integrating paleomagnetic data and advanced modeling techniques. This project seeks to explain the recent decline in Earth's magnetic field strength and its implications for planetary habitability.
PALEOCORE will provide the first comprehensive observational constraints on the dynamics of Earth’s core on multi-centennial to millennial timescales.
