The PALEOHUNTERS project investigates the role of ungulate sex in the hunting strategies of Neanderthals and early modern humans in northern Iberia and southwestern France. By analyzing ancient proteins, the project aims to enhance understanding of subsistence behaviors during the Palaeolithic era.
