This project investigates how climate change affects parasite populations in freshwater fish, using them as indicators for environmental changes. It combines ecological assessments of parasite dynamics with studies on pollutant metabolism to understand the impacts of temperature and pollution on aquatic ecosystems.
The project addresses the interaction between parasitism and pollution in the context of climate change using parasites in freshwater fish as a model early warning system for altered environmental conditions by the application of a two-fold approach.
