PATHWAY investigates the role of bioactive compounds in food and their potential health benefits. By focusing on bioactive-enriched foods, the project aims to understand how these compounds can improve health outcomes related to Metabolic Syndrome through dietary interventions.
Scientific understanding of the role and mechanisms of bioactives is fragmented.
Research often addresses the theoretical possibility of health improvement effects rather than their real, practical use for everyday diets.
