This project aims to enhance our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution by developing new methods to analyze observational data from distant galaxies. It focuses on integrating advanced datasets and modeling techniques to identify the processes driving galaxy evolution.
Understanding how and why galaxies form and evolve is one of the most challenging problems in modern astronomy.
Our own galaxy, the Milky Way, shows order and structure, as do most massive galaxies in our local neighbourhood.
Yet when we look at very distant galaxies, which exist in the early Universe due to the time it takes their light to reach us, they are disordered and chaotic.
