This project focuses on developing a highly efficient direct solar thermal energy storage system. It aims to enhance thermal performance for urban energy supply by studying phase changes and flow phenomena, designing new storage devices, and creating predictive heat transfer models.
This MSCA PF will bring the emerging early career researcher, currently a postdoctoral researcher at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, to study the highly efficient direct solar thermal energy storage system.
The outcome of the project will contribute to advanced thermal storage and management based on a novel direct solar energy storage system and thus more efficient thermal performance, enabling distributed urban energy supply system.
