This project focuses on developing photoregulated organocatalytic systems that enhance reaction control in sustainable chemistry. By integrating light as a trigger, the aim is to improve the efficiency of chemical processes and reduce byproduct formation.
The project combines the two recent and versatile methodologies of organocatalysis and photoregulation with the objective to develop photoregulated organocatalytic systems.
Together with the proposed immobilization in order to recycle these innovative catalysts such systems are expected to be of great value in the context of sustainable chemistry as control of reactions should allow for minimizing the formation of byproducts and therefore should create more efficient synthetic processes.
