This project explores the role of phytochromes, particularly phyB, in plant light signaling and development. By studying the formation of nuclear complexes associated with phyB, the research aims to uncover new factors in the red-light signaling pathway that influence plant growth and responses.
Light is one of the most important environmental signals regulating a wide range of physiological and developmental processes in plants, from seed germination to flowering.
To perceive changes in the light, plants evolved photoreceptors specialized in absorbing light of different wavelengths.
