PICASCO focuses on developing a continuous, solvent-free manufacturing process for pharmaceutical compounds. The project aims to create a compact flow miniplant that enhances efficiency, quality, and environmental sustainability in drug production compared to traditional batch methods.
PICASCO aims to deliver the commercial proof of concept of a novel endto-end flow manufacturing and a novel corresponding compact flow miniplant.
This is performed through the first continuous 4-step solvent-freeflow manufacturing of a pharmaceutically relevant API compound at anindustrial scale.
